Quinntessential Market Mutts: Meet Copper Red Woten 🐾

Some dogs enter your life in ordinary ways… and some arrive when they need a family most. Copper Red Woten’s story started with heartbreak, but quickly turned into one full of love, belly rubs, and Farmers Market adventures.

Copper is believed to be around five years old and is a handsome American English Coonhound and Beagle mix with a personality as big as his floppy ears. After a friend witnessed him being thrown from a car, they stepped in to help. Soon after, Copper found his forever home with the Woten family — and it’s safe to say he’s been making up for lost time ever since.

From the very beginning, Copper showed everyone exactly who he was. In fact, his family’s favorite memory happened during his very first weekend with them. They brought him to the Farmers Market, and people instantly fell in love with his sweet face and happy personality. Honestly, not much has changed since then!

If you’ve spent time at the market, chances are you’ve seen Copper making his rounds, in his newest bow tie, tail wagging nonstop, soaking up pets and attention from absolutely everyone willing to say hello. He’s a regular weekend visitor whenever the family is in town, and he takes his market responsibilities very seriously. He also looks good doing it!

A perfect Farmers Market morning for Copper starts with breakfast at Joanie’s before heading off to visit his friends at Quinntessential Creatives. After that? More pets, more smiles, and maybe a few treats if he’s lucky.

At home, Copper is just as lovable. He’s known for obsessively searching for his beloved stuffed duck toy like it’s the greatest treasure on Earth. And while he’s the king of playtime, he’s also a gentle and loyal big brother to his human sister — always nearby, always happy, and always ready to be part of the fun.

When asked what Copper’s life motto would be, the answer was simple:

“Eat, sleep, play, repeat.”

And honestly? Copper seems to have life figured out pretty well.

We’re so thankful Copper found the loving home he deserved, and we’re even more thankful he shares his joyful spirit with all of us at the market each weekend. If you see him around, be sure to stop and give this happy boy some extra pets — he’ll gladly accept them!
